Why we built MEGZURI

A short story about why we started hand-building a camera database for Georgian roads.

MEGZURI was born out of a simple frustration: existing apps either gave inaccurate data or didn’t know Georgian roads at all.

The problem

The section-camera system is complex, and the data is often outdated. We wanted an app we could actually trust on our daily drives.

We verify camera locations by hand, one by one.
The interface is as simple as possible — attention on the road should stay on the road.
We keep the data fresh with help from our users.
